Compatiblity

Compatibility

Very Compatible: Connect With Various Devices

The headset has compatibility with PCs, smartphones, major gaming consoles, and many other devices.

Being compatible with many devices is very useful for a buyer with various devices.

You don’t have to buy a separate headset for your PlayStation or Xbox, which is convenient.

When using its wired version, the wire length is decent enough not to cause you trouble. It’s not too short or too long and is also well-built.

The product comes with a gaming module with a fixed cable and an Aux cable. If you don’t want to use the gaming module, you still have the option to use the wires.

In the case of the wires included, the 2.5 mm end will attach to the headset, and the 3.5 mm end will attach to the device.

Portable: Carry It Anywhere

The headset comes with a well-built travel case. The travel case is also not big, and you can nicely arrange all the headset cables along with the headset.

I find it easy and convenient. However, I will say that there is room for improvement. The portability still isn’t compact enough.

Gaming Performance: Play Like A Pro

The headset comes with award-winning noise-cancellation tech and a special removable gaming module that lets you have a tournament-level experience.

The gaming module consists of a TeamSpeak and Discord-certified boom mic and a fixed cable whose other ends will attach to the system.

The mic works brilliantly, you sound professional during the communication; it doesn’t matter if there is noise from your background.

The headset is great for competitive gaming, and its sound quality is truly awesome. The sound is crisp and lifelike, with clear, rich, and deep bass.

It truly details every audio of your game. You can easily pinpoint enemy locations by hearing gunshots and footsteps.

A gaming headset is no good without comfort. Concentrating on the game is tough if you are not comfortable. The Bose QC35 II provides exceptional comfort, you can wear it for hours and hours without a single worry.

What's Bothersome

What’s Bothersome

What Is Bothersome About Them?

Well, I already mentioned that the headset is expensive. So, many of you might be wondering why I mentioned it as a con here, especially knowing that the heading says “Most expensive gaming headsets”.

Well, it’s because of the value of money. Customer reviews reveal that the headset is overpriced. There are less expensive headsets available offering the same (almost) features.

I agree. Considering the Bose brand has a great reputation in the market, you can say that you are paying extra for a trustworthy brand.

The other thing is that the mic cannot be attached if you use the headset wirelessly. The gaming module has a fixed cable attached to it.

This is something I find a bit annoying. If Bose could add the option of using the mic in wireless mode, it would be great.

What Are Its Strongholds?

Firstly, its brilliant sound quality. The sound quality is well-balanced, and there is no noticeable distortion at all frequencies.

The sound reflects Bose’s reputation, and you will love how immersive it is.

The second thing is its noise cancellation. I was amazed by how well its noise cancellation works. Even if you are stuck in traffic, you won’t find the traffic ruining your listening experience.

Then comes its built. You might not notice premium metal used in it, but still, it’s very durable. There are no particular complaints regarding its build.

The flexibility it has is appreciable. The headset can withstand falls, but I recommend taking care of it nicely.

Then comes its comfort. Its cushioning is so soft and well-made you will be surprised by it. The headset is lightweight, and on top of that, the cushioning is breathable.

Lastly, the travel case is a nice touch to the product. Even though it’s not something big, it’s convenient to carry. Packing a headset in a bag and then finding the cables scrambled is kind of annoying.

Pros

  • Noise Cancellation
  • Flexible and durable.
  • Good Battery life.
  • Portable
  • Comfortable fit

Cons

  • Overpriced
  • Mic attachment is not separate

Conclusion: Should You buy Them?

Even though the QC35 II is slightly overpriced, I think it is still worth it. Just knowing it’s a Bose product is very satisfying.

It offers wireless and wired modes, delivers incredible sound, and is also very compatible.
It offers amazing comfort to the user and also has good battery life. Its build is also very durable, the paddings are also well-made.

Still, whether you should buy it or not is something you have to decide. If the headset is within your budget and covers all your needs, it’s worth consideration.

If you find the ‘mic not attachable in wireless mode’ thing disappointing, then you may very well consider other headsets.

It may also be possible that you want to buy an even better product at this price, as the QC35 II is overpriced. You may very well look for other products.

Just keep in mind that your needs should be the major deciding factor. Also, the budget should be considered too.

Bose Risk-Free Trial

This is something important that I need to mention. You can find a 90-day Risk Free Trial of the headset if you order it from the official website.

It allows you to experience using it yourself and determine if it is right. I think looking into its details is worthwhile.

If you want my final verdict based on technical details, I will say it’s worth it. It offers ‘Bose Standard” quality even if it is overpriced.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC: Full Review

SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC visuals

Visuals

The SteelSeries Arctis Pro headset is Hi-Res Audio certified, proving to deliver breath-taking sound quality. The headset has a great reputation in the market among gamers.

The frequency range of the audio is pretty impressive too. Its mic is also widely recognized for delivering studio-level voice clarity with amazing noise cancellation.

There is no issue with its comfort, it is comfortable enough for long sessions. The headset is also compatible with some gaming consoles.

Its boom mic is retractable and also has a noise-cancellation feature. The DAC itself offers plenty of options.

It offers superb surround sound, all thanks to its DTS Headphone:X v2.0. The headset is available as a wireless model for some extra bucks.

Now that you have a glimpse of what the headset is about, a detailed analysis of its features will be great to know if it’s the one for you. So, let’s get to it…

RES Certified

RES Certified

Breathtaking Sound: Hi-Res Audio Certified

The audio of this headset is just off the hook. It is immersive due to distinct clarity, offers powerful audio, and delivers accurate positional sounds.

The headset offers DTS Headphone:X v2.0, the next generation of DTS’ reputed surround sound. It lets you accurately locate sound origins, making it easy to detect the enemy by hearing footsteps or gunshots.

The headset features premium drivers with neodymium magnets, whose highest frequency is 40,000 Hz. Above that, its sound is very well-balanced over all frequency ranges.

The Arctis Pro headset offers a frequency range of 10Hz-40000Hz. The speaker drivers are 40 mm in size.

GameDAC: Adds Richness To The Sound

The GameDAC is a great-built optimized chipset to provide high-fidelity audio for PC and PS4 / PS5.

The GameDAC creates an audiophile level of sonic fidelity. This delivers mind-blowing sound, it adds life to normal audio.

It also provides an OLED-based menu system, which lets you easily adjust your settings without downloading any software. It provides flexibility to gamers.

ClearCast Bidirectional Microphone

The mic is widely recognized as a professional gaming microphone. It delivers studio-level voice clarity.

The mic offers noise-cancellation, which helps you avoid sounding unclear and noisy over voice comms.

The mic is retractable, you can switch off the mic as your desire. Having a retractable mic is a handy feature too.

High-Level Comfort

The headset offers great comfort to the user. The ear cushions are soft and breathable. They are well built so that you can wear them for hours.

The headband is not extendable; instead, you must adjust the fabric piece. This is an attempt to have a unique design and some space for the head.

Though, the fabric piece adjustment is a drawback for the fit. The headset will not fit a big size head, the headset needs improvement in this matter.

The headset will surely fit a small and normal size head. If it fits perfectly, there is no other issue with the comfort.

Built Quality: Great Durability

The headset uses premium material, the body has a decent amount of metal used. The cushioning is also well made, you need not worry about them getting torn for a long time.

Steel and aluminum alloy are used in its construction, so you don’t need to worry about the headset cracking. Though taking care of it will ensure flawless service for a long time.

Compatibility: Connect With Various Devices

The headset is compatible not just with your PCs but also with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The wireless model will offer you even more compatibility.

This will let you have a single headset for multiple devices. You don’t have to buy separate headsets for your console. Keep in mind it’s not compatible with all consoles, so checking the net before buying will be wise.

Design: A Unique Look

If you are bored with all the same-looking headsets, this headset might attract your attention with its design.

Though the design is not too different, the headband gives you a new feeling. I find it nice that once you adjust the fabric piece length, you most likely won’t have to change it for a long time.

The design doesn’t give much of a fresh look but gives a fresh fit. But it is also that it does not fit large head sizes.

Its RGB lighting is also something that will not attract too much attention. But they don’t look bad, either.

The GameDAC is also compactly designed so that you will have no storage issues, even with a small desk.

I need to mention that the design is kind of bulky. It might not trouble you, but some extra material could be removed.

The weight is not much, but if the extra material were to be cut down, it would make a difference.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC

The audio of this headset is just off the hook. It is immersive due to distinct clarity, powerful audio, and accurate positional sounds.

Immerse Into Gaming

Immerse Into Gaming

The Arctis Pro headset lets you have an amazing gaming experience. The sound will surely let you enjoy yourself.

The headset’s Hi-Res Audio and surround sound are just too good. Finding enemies will become a piece of cake, you can accurately pinpoint them by hearing footsteps and gunshots.

With its noise-canceling mic, you can smoothly communicate with your teammates.  You can also have RGB lights on to put you into the gaming zone.

The GameDAC also levels up your experience with richer and clearer audio. I find them great for gaming.

Product Includes

  • Toslink Optical Cable
  • Microphone Windscreen

  • GameDAC audio format: Up to 96 kHz, 24 bits
  • Driver size: 40mm

What Gives It A Thumbs Down?

The headset is really good, but there is room for improvement. First of all, the headset is not portable. Travelers require portability, so if you are one, you might not consider buying this headset.

The second thing is that the microphone is not that good. The mic can be much improved, it can let you communicate smoothly but peaks easily.

The third thing is that the built is not very great. Using metals doesn’t necessarily mean a nice build. Its build is a bit bulky.

What Gives It A Thumbs Up?

Firstly, the bass is just so good. You will love the sound of gunshots wearing these. Its bass is deep yet does not imbalance the sounds.

Second, GameDAC is something. It is quite noticeable how useful it is. It makes the sound richer and clearer.

Lastly, the midrange frequencies are clean and balanced. You can easily understand dialogues and conversations.

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • GameDAC offers a lot
  • Immersive sound

Cons

  • Mic needs improvement
  • Built could be better

Conclusion: Are They Right For You?

The headset is expensive, but at the same time, it also offers how much you spend. It offers many features, and the GameDAC is also worth buying.

It delivers high-resolution audio, and its surround sound is amazing. It sways you away into the gaming world with every gunshot you hear.

Not just for gaming, it is great for music listening, too, because it offers such a good and clean bass. Listening to pop music with it will surely make your feet move.

About GameDAC, it is not a simple chipset. It improves the audio quality and also minimizes sound lags.
The GameDAC also lets you adjust controls without installing software. It is a very convenient and easy-to-use device.

But this is all technical stuff; the deciding factor has to be you. You should consider buying it if it fulfills all your needs.

Keep in mind the wired and wireless models and their price differences. It is a really important aspect.

As for my verdict based on technical terms, I think it’s a good buy. However, I would love it if its improved model comes, as there is room for improvement.

As far as I can say, many professionals consider it a valuable buy. Keep in mind that the decision should be based on your needs, don’t get caught up in what professionals think.

Confused

Confused

Confused Between Arctis Pro and QC35 II Headsets?

Now that I have mentioned two gaming headsets, you might get caught up in which one to buy, Bose QC35 II or Arctis Pro with GameDAC.

To help you with that, here are some things that will give you a clearer vision.

First, Bose QC35 II cannot be used with a microphone in wireless mode. On the other hand, you can use the mic with SteelSeries Arctis Pro wireless model.

The second thing is that the Arctis Pro headset is made specifically for gaming, while the QC35 II is a 2-in-1 headset for gaming and music.

So, if you are solely interested in gaming, you should consider the Arctis Pro headset. Bose is a better option if you would like to enjoy some music too.

Then comes the built-in voice assistants, which are available in the case of Bose. So, if convenience matters to you, Bose is worth consideration.

In terms of comfort, Bose is more suitable for long sessions. It offers better comfort.

Well, these were some pretty straight things to notice, but it might be useful for you to get a clearer picture.

You will be able to point out further things if you simultaneously keep your needs in mind. If you have trouble with having your needs straight, here is a simple solution.

Just take a paper and write down the major features you need, like wireless mode, detachable mic, etc. After you are done with that, just note down your other desires, like touch controls.

And just like that, you will be able to have a better vision. All that needs to be done then is to find the correct match.

You might likely want to find more products to choose from, so feel free to surf the net until you find the right choice.

What Is The Use Of Buying An Expensive Headset?

Well, expensive products offer better quality. The higher the quality, the higher the price goes. This is why I reviewed 2 expensive headsets. My goal is to get top-notch quality for your ultimate purchase.

Though you may say that many headsets are more expensive than the ones I reviewed. Then why did I choose only 2 for my readers?

This is because buying those super-high-priced headsets is pointless unless you have money overflowing your pockets.

I reviewed those gaming headsets that are not ridiculously expensive and offer good value for money.

Also, you can find some unique featured products when you expand your budget.

In the case of Bose, you got its exceptional sound, a PC desktop controller, and noise-canceling features. As for Arctis Pro, you got the very useful GameDAC, Hi-Res Audio, and noise-canceling mic.
